No entry of the name of Christopher Nolan in the ranks of best director Oscar nomination in 2011 shocking crew film of ‘Inception’. According to him, the Oscar committee has been embarrassing Nolan.

Paul Franklin, who won an Oscar nomination for best visual effects category of the film, admitted surprise that Nolan was not nominated as best director.

“I think Chris has done a fantastic job. This is really embarrassing,” he told The Hollywood Reporter, after the announcement of nominations to the 83rd Academy Awards in Beverly Hills, California, USA, on Tuesday (25/01/2011).

“Yes, but indeed no one could predict. All equipment is always shocking,” he added trying to understand.

Franklin also deplored, ‘Inception’ was nominated for best editing category.

Overall, ‘Inception’ won nominations in 8 categories. Including, best film and best screenplay for Nolan. (more…)
